　　What is TEDxSanNewSchool

　　2019年5月，武汉三牛中美中学正式通过美国TED官方申请，拟定于2019年9月20日在武汉三牛中美中学举行一场主题为“I'm possible”的TEDx演讲活动。

　　作为一所学校，我们希望通过挖掘更多人的演讲，发现、探索我们不知道的知识、信息或观点。

　　武汉三牛中美中学系华中地区第一所美式私立寄宿中学，位于武汉经济技术开发区太子湖北路，学校提供初中7至8年级和高中9至12年级的完全中学学历教育，采用全套美式教育模式和课程体系，毕业生全部进入全球顶级大学。

　　On September 20th of this year, San New School in Wuhan, China, will host TEDxSanNewSchool.

　　Wuhan San New School, the first American private boarding school in Central China, is located at Taizi Hubei Road, Economic and technological development Zone, Hubei.

　　It provides complete secondary education for grades 7 to 8 of junior high school and grades 9 to 12 of senior high school. In San New, a full set of American education model and curriculum system is adopted and all the graduates will be admitted into top universities in the world.

　　What is TED

　　TED是一个致力于传播思想的非盈利组织，通常以简短有力的演讲(18分钟或更少)形式出现。

　　该大会始于1984年，当时是一个包含科技、娱乐和设计主题的会议(TED也是由这三个英文单词的首字母组成)，而如今它涵盖了几乎所有的主题，涉及100多种语言。

　　参加过该演讲的杰出人物众多，包括比尔·盖茨、斯蒂芬·霍金、比尔·克林顿、史蒂夫·乔布斯、埃隆·马斯克以及成千上万来自各行各业的领导者和创新者都曾担任过演讲嘉宾。

　　TED is a nonprofit [organization] devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). It began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics in more than 100 languages.

　　TED has become a global phenomenon. Their list of esteemed speakers includes: Bill Gates, Stephen Hawking, Bill Clinton, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk and thousands more leaders and innovators.

　　While TED exists on a global scale, TEDx is a locally organised, independently licensed event aimed to bring the spirit of TED to specific communities.

　　In our case, TEDxSanNewSchool is a youth event, designed to enlighten the community of San New School and Wuhan. In short, TEDx brings together the same global issues, with local inspiration.

　　We’re redefining impossible and we need your help to do it.

　　We want to hear from speakers who are ready to change the world.

　　You don’t have to be the expert on your topic but you should be an expert.

　　Give us your idea worth spreading; your unique perspective that will inspire an audience into action.

　　Teach us something new and unforgettable. Speeches may be presented in either English or Chinese.

　　Along with speakers, we will have an afternoon of activities, demonstrations and stimulating conversations.
